Copper Run Distillery

Since you’ve come to the Ozarks, let’s start with something traditional: moonshine! If you are a liquor connoisseur, you will cherish a visit to Copper Run, the first legal distillery in the Ozarks since the end of prohibition. This small business takes its craft seriously, producing the finest moonshine, whiskey, and rum in these parts. The spirits distilled here are heavily influenced by the local resources, including the limestone-rich water, the Missouri white oak barrels, and the unique climate of the Ozark Mountains.

Tours and tastings are offered Wednesday through Sunday at 1:30 and 4 pm. Cocktails in the tasting room include a moonshine margarita, flavored moonshine drinks like Apple Pie Moonshine and Cherry Moonshine, and other seasonal whiskey and moonshine infusions. If you really fall in love with Copper Run, consider investing in your own barrel of whiskey through their Signature Barrel Program, where investors can participate in designing their own special recipe.
